The 2nd Pancyprian Statistics Day took place on Friday, June 7th, at Frederick University premises in Nicosia. More than 50 researchers from the academia, private research companies, the Cyprus Statistical Service as well as from large organizations such as KPMG and PwC, attended the event. During this one-day event, 17 scientific presentations were delivered from researchers whose interests are related to Statistics. Participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas, present their work, get to know their colleagues’ job and look for new ways of collaboration.
This year, the Plenary Speaker was Dr. Ineke Stoop, Head of Methodology at The Netherlands Institute for Social Research, who delivered a presentation on the European Social Research (ESS), an academic multi-national research that is being carried out across Europe every two years since 2002.
