The Statistical Service and the Cyprus Statistical Society invite you to an event to be held in the Multipurpose Hall of the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday, 20 October 2026, at 11:00 a.m., to mark the celebration of the European Statistics Day.

Welcome addresses will be delivered by the Minister of Finance, Makis Keravnos, the Director of the Statistical Service, Stavros Karagiorgis, and the President of the Cyprus Statistical Society and Rector of the University of Cyprus, Professor Tasos Christofides. The keynote address will be delivered by the President of the Fiscal Council, Dr Andreas Charalambous, on the topic “The Role of Official Statistics in Shaping Economic Policy”. A reception will follow.
