The 6th Annual Conference of the Cyprus Statistical Society took place on Friday, May 30th, 2025, at the premises of UCLan Cyprus in Larnaca. In total, more than 70 researchers from academia, private research companies, the Cyprus Statistical Service, as well as large corporate organizations attended the event. During this one-day event, 27 scientific presentations were delivered by researchers whose interests are related to Statistics. Participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas, present their work, get to know their colleagues’ work, and look for new ways of collaboration. This year, the Plenary Speaker was Dr. Athanasios C. Thanopoulos, President of the Hellenic Statistical Authority.

For the first time, the conference had an award for the best postgraduate or doctoral thesis presented by a student. The award, with a total value of €400, was sponsored by Grant Thornton Cyprus and served as recognition of excellence, innovation, and scientific contribution of young scientists in the field of statistics.
